Make your ChatGPT plan last all week.

Longhaul is a Mac app that lets a regular ChatGPT chat plan and review your software work, while the Codex CLI on your Mac does only the coding.

$7 a month or $59 a year after the trial. Cancel any time.

Why

Planning and reviewing need the strongest models. Done inside Codex, they use up the Codex allowance that comes with your ChatGPT plan, and on Plus its five-hour and weekly limits run out fast.

Longhaul moves the planning and the review into a regular ChatGPT chat, which has its own limits, and leaves Codex only the implementation. You keep the ChatGPT plan you have and buy nothing extra from OpenAI.

How it works

  1. You describe the work in a ChatGPT chat, inside the Longhaul app.
  2. ChatGPT writes a work order for your project through the Longhaul connector.
  3. Codex carries it out on your Mac, and Longhaul runs your project's checks.
  4. ChatGPT reviews the result, then accepts it or sends it back with what to fix.

Your code stays on your Mac

Codex works in the folders you choose. Longhaul's relay passes tool calls between ChatGPT and your Mac and stores none of their content.

Your own accounts

Longhaul uses your ChatGPT account and your own Codex CLI. There is no extra OpenAI bill and no API key to manage.

Keeps itself current

The app is signed and notarized by Apple and updates itself.

What you need

OpenAI sets the limits of its plans and can change them at any time, so Longhaul cannot promise how much use you get from yours.
